I didn't say we shouldn't bother with the street racing problem, I simply said there are far more important matters to be worried about (for example drunk driving).

You only hear about street racing causing problems because it is a political thing more so then anything else. Each year drunks kill thousands upon thousands of more people then street racers ever will in 10 years but yet we don't hear about it much anymore. Its all about politics sadly

 

I know you weren't saying those things exactly, but I was just saying we can't just stop going after street racing because there are other things that cause more damage.

As for the rest of your post, i said the same exact thing in my first post to this thread.

Also, if you think there aren't many, MANY more resources devoted to fighting drunk driving than street racing, you're wrong.

 

HAHA .. the video had nothing to do with street racing ... it was all about illegal modifications..

I think it was last year or the year before California was trying to use scare tactics that didn't work (impounding peoples cars that were caught street racing and putting them into the crusher)

another way to collect more revenue for the state & city

California laws suck .. plane and simple ...

 

Thats the only reason why they do stupid crap like this. Becuase an intake is going to make any real difference to the car or its emissions

Of course it is legal to have an intake provided it is CARB certified and how do you get that done...why pay the state to get it certified of course!
