That means, unless I'm gravely mistaken, "not as bad as". Which, I believe, you think it should be.
I mean that 1 year in jail for speeding, and a $2500 fine, or up to $3500, here in texas I don't think even the first DWI against you will get you jail time, and the fines aren't that hefty either. What i was trying to say unless they've stiffened the penalties for drunk driving, they are putting speeding and drunk driving in the same category which is ridiculous. Drunk driving is far worse than speeding.

wow.....thankfully im out of there.
please show me the way out of here lol! It's like once you live here your stuck for a while due to housing costs and taxes being so high...you really don't get a chance to save. Plus if your family and friends live here it's really tough to go...these penalties are just rediculous though...they say the fines are for funding new Virginia Roadway projects.

... are speeders just the scum of the earth to you, or what?

I mean, anytime that anyone says ANYTHING about speed laws, you have to post something to make them feel stupid.

Years ago my roommate (MD resident) got a ticket for speeding in VA, something like 30 over and he got the minimum sentence of 1K and 2 days in jail. Served over a weekend, and all the inmates wanted to watch Cops. Go figure...

/heading to VA in two weeks
//will not speed too much. 55 on the beltway?
///VA taxes the value of your car yearly, why not add another tax?

"The purpose of the civil remedial fees imposed in this section is to generate revenue," the new law states. (Virginia Code 46.2-206.1)

With this communist style attitude, its in writing we are in queue for another civil war if our dousche law makers dont get their heads out of their asses and remember where the ultimate power lies. Popular Sovereignty or Iron Fist, where do yall think were goin there?

VA police and lawmakers can SOCHmyDOCH!! fags
