Granted he is in Colorado, but that doesn't mean that he couldn't do it there. Depends on the laws for Colorado. If they are a carry and conceal state, they probably will allow it.
Sorry to hear that man, at least they didn't pull a gun on you. I wouldn't suggest for anyone walking through any city without a piece or a knife. I carry my switchblade most places and when I used to carry my butterfly knife I would would whip it out, spin it around and scare the sh!t out of people.
i have a switchblade and butterfly knife, but those are very illegal. however there are many knives on the market that are legal and can flip out just as quick as a switch blade.
the glock 19 doesnt have enough stopping power. get the springfield compact xd 40. that should take care of business and they feel better in the hand.
or you could just make more money and avoid those situations all together.

be careful out there.
sorry to hear that, at least you got out of it relatively unharmed.
i think unless you are well trained on using weapon for self defence and know the situation, you shouldn't carry anything that you thought you would use it as self defence weapons.
if whatever weapon you were carrying got into the wrong hand, then the situation would be really bad
and also, if you did use the weapon, you still need to live with the psychological effect on yourself about harming another human being
if you comply (if money is all they want), then you might have a better chance to walk away with minimal harm done to anyone.
of course, there are things that you can do to avoid being a victim, but that's a whole other story

Just get a shotgun and load it with slugs...
