stockae,

I may have a ****ed up way of thinking, but if someone attempts to harm me or god forbid my family they are my enemy. If I get the upper hand, I'll unleash on those ****ers full force.

that isnt a ####ed up way of thinking, its normal. As another example, if someone were to enter my house uninvited with my family present (at night/whenever), that person better be ready to gamble with their life. Florida home-invasion laws are very forgiving.

I don't know if many of you are serious in terms of fighting back. I've seen plenty of people out there acting tough on the internet when in real life faced with such situation, they probably can't even stop shaking. The sad thing is that it happens to be always these youngsters overestimating their own strength end up dying. This case is no different. You can tell him to carrying whatever switchblades/butterfly knife, pack as many guns/shotguns (or bazooka if you wish), and you still will probably end up worse than not do anything. Don't get me wrong though, I'm just saying that you should use weapon as a last resort if you think your life is in danger. Especially in this situation, what makes you think the other two guys didn't carry any weapon seriously. It's 1 against 2, even though those two people sounded like idiots, it's likely that OP would've ended up in worse situation if he reacted aggressively and fought back.

Anyways, whatever you do though in public, you can get as mad and angry as you wish but your madness won't make you a bit stronger if not weaker. And remember once you pull out your weapon, be prepared to lose your life especially if you aren't even trained to use them.

Let me tell you a story about pistols. My grandfather back when he was in his late 40s, dropped off his kids and wife (that would be my Mom, Uncle and grandma) at church and parked his car a few blocks away. As he walked back to church, he noticed 3 guys following from the other side of the street. They quickly crossed over to his sidewalk. Sensing something was up he readied his .38 special from his hip holster (he was finely dressed, suit and tie all that stuff so it was well hidden) just in case (my Pop's was a store owner in Brooklyn and handled a lot of cash so he had a special permit).

As they got closer (approx 20 ft) one of them said hey mister turn around and gimme your wallet. My Pop, pulled out his gun and said all you'll get is lead. The 3 dudes ran for their life. One of them dropped their knife immediately and ran off. They just were not expecting that. He said if he didn't have his gun...Lord knows what would have happened to him. Definitely robbed and possibly worse.

Gave me a little chill reading that.

Unfortunately it sounds like the kind of silly one-line Bush Jr. would say in response to terrorism.

Imagine Geroge Bush Jr on tv:

'You attack our way of life? All you get is lead....*pause* Anybody seen my Snack Pack? Man I like those Snack Packs. LAURA??!?"

I don't know if you were referring to me, but I did say if I got the upper hand. I don't fly off of the handle. I stay cool and calm and look for opportunity.

sometimes i wish it was legal to kill criminals without fear of getting legal repercussions. There are too many laws to protect criminals and too few to protect the victims.
