Grades = $?
I just saw Pay It Forward last night, and I actually thought it was a decent movie (though I hated the ending and the use of the same freaking music as American Beauty!).
Scot, I think it's a great idea, and you'd be doing your tenants (the single moms) a huge favor to help motivate the kids to do better in school. Being a single mom is rough, and I'm sure they would be grateful for any help they can get.
And if you do it, you get to post that to the "best thing you've ever done" thread!

IVS2k - i got ya now.... the city of harrisburg is just filled with lazy, unmotivated people...... so the few houses that I have now (and aquire in the future) is just a drop in the bucket.... I just hope to encourage a few of them to do better than their parents

i think that's a fantastic idea. i would bet that if you talked to other local businesses you might be able to get some of them to sponsor/assist this program.
kudos to you bro. for (1) thinking of others and (2) doing something to better those around you.
Mark was right in his post above. I am the grandchild of four immigrants and the first in my family to graduate from college. education has always been stressed in my family and i firmly believe that it (combined with a strong work ethic) is the key to true freedom and bettering oneself.
