Great timing! Going to Paris on Friday...
Life is good, the snow has melted hopefully for good.
Probably the most safe place on earth to be. It is too bad our gov't isn't joining with the British and Americans.
Where are you looking to visit in this vast country?

Have fun and be safe.
I was in Paris a few years ago, and there was some kind of anti-American rally in one of the outdoor shopping areas.
I handed my video camera to my girlfriend (she was safe, she was a Korean citizen) and I jumped into the middle of the group and started protesting with them. I still don't know what language they were speaking, but it wasn't French, or English.
I know it was a stupid thing to do, but I was extremely perturbed by the protest, and I just had to do something to respond. Plus it's hilarious video!

I'll try, but it's a really tough request. Only 2 of the 11 digital tapes have been edited (yes, it was a few years ago). Can you tell I'm a busy guy?
Of all the video that I would like to post, I would like to show the donut contest from the S.O.W. event last December.
I can convert the digital video from my editing machine into MPEG, but how do I post it. Don't I need some kind of server?
Also I need to know how long the video can be.
If you want, you can PM me, so we don't hijack Qube's thread.

Yeah, tough times for Americans in france right now, for example I've got 2 young American girls doing unpaid internship at my office right now, and everyday I put a very smelly camembert cheese in their handbags, light my cigarette with a burning American flag, cowardly murmur 'Bush is an idiot, Bush is an idiot' in their back, and when they confront me and try to have a conversation about the war, I either change the subject or leave the room.

In case any of you old timers don't remember this is the same tool that was spouting off with tons of anti-american garbage about 33 seconds after the terror attacks of 9-11. Any new members should do a search to see the absolute horse crap this, ahem, gentlemen was spreading.
There's no sense in arguing with this person because if history repeats itself, he'll either take it or make it personal but I'll finish with this.
I have family that fought (and some died) liberating France. Maybe you forgot Normandy, but we haven't. I'm only 30 years old but I've learned enough in those 30 years to recognize honor, dignity and courage. Apparently Mr. Chirac and your government have not. For shame!

Do you seriously think that I would do that??
FYI these 2 girls get treated as well as anyone else, maybe even better cause they're a bit lost here in London, away from home. We have lunch and drinks together, and talk about everything, including politics, in a very measured and calm way, as civilized people do.

To answer your question, no I don't think you'd do that because the American girls would probably kick your ass. I do believe that you secretly wish you could do that and your position and thoughts on the matter are as clear as day.
No, I'm not subtle. But then I believe in calling an apple and apple.

You don't know me, you don't even know that I have no French blood in me (Greek-Italian-Jewish), and you have no idea of how I feel about the US and Americans in general.
