Default Greatest Road Trips

I was going back through some old pictures and got a little nostalgiac about road trips I've taken. I took a lot of minor road trips some years ago in college (from Durham, NC to UVA in Charlottesville, VA for a weekend for example), but I'm talking about big road trips (300 miles plus). Doesn't have to be in the S, but that would be a bonus I suppose. I'm also trying to get some ideas for future trips. I've done the following:

Highway 1 from San Francisco to LA (rented a convertible for this one)
Cross-country from Philadelphia to LA (took the S)

What are your favorite (dare I say, epic) road trips that you have taken?

California>Arkansas. Stopped at grand canyon, santa fe, it was great.

Salt Lake City>Billings Montana BEAUTIFUL places to see in the mountains.. amazing.

Portland>Mt.St.Helen's really love the mountains and cool bridges.

San Francisco>Bend, OR. Shasta is stunning. Probably the best part of the entire drive.

This summer I'm doing Raleigh, NC>San Francisco along hwy 70 to 15 to 80. That's going to be a hell of a journey for sure.

Around 11 hours including numerous stops along the alcoves to take pictures (about 10 minutes each for maybe 8 stops or so). In retrospect, we should have taken 101 into LA where it branched off from 1, as we drove through farmland for a good hour and a half before finding a road that connected. I would recommend to anyone that they take this trip at least once.

Two quick pics of the Highway 1 drive. I have about a hundred more but they aren't uploaded.

I might this summer. Where were all the scenic stopping points? Besides the Monterey/Big Sur area.

Columbus,OH to San Diego,CA-Best and Worst road trip of my life...Me and my buddy drove that in his Cherokee...took us about 4 days as we made a quite few scenic stops, slept in the Jeep,Only ate at dumpy looking restaurants that nobody's ever heard of,No drama like with all the other road trips that we took with GF's,Oh yea and Month of June+Dessert driving=Sucks.

Made a Few trips down to Orlando and up to Windsor a few times.
