No personal experience with the Q here...

However, a year ago I bought a Weber Genesis B.

Built strong, I know it will last for decades.

The only problem I've had with mine was that after three weeks and several uses I found the paint on one side of the firebox was pealing. While minor and of no consequence to operation, it bothered me a bit since it was brand new. I checked the warranty and paint is covered for 1 year (everything else is much longer depending on the component).

I called customer service. I went through the automated service and was greeted by a rep within 30 seconds. I briefly explained my issue. The rep asked for my name and address and promptly told me that a new firebox would be sent out within the week. I asked if she needed to know exactly which model I had and she replied that she already knew because I had registered the grill online. I couldn't have been on the phone more than two minutes. The firebox showed up well packaged no less than three days later.

for a customer service department from which many other companies could take a lesson.

Defects happen. My only reason for mentioning it was to point out yet another reason to buy a Weber.

Happy grilling!

I have a weber that my uncle gave to us when we came to the unites states. I think the grill is now over 20 years old, with original lines, grates, EVERYTHING. The grill produces better food than any $10000 stainless steel bs. Weber's are amazing, and you will die before it does. However, make SURE it has a cast iron rack. If not, food will taste like crap. Stainless steel racks dont add any flavor whatsoever. Also, when you get it, make sure you season the rack (google "seasoning cast iron) and NEVER EVER EVER EVER clean it. Just give it a scrub down with a brush and thats it.

I just picked up my first grill a couple months ago. It's a Weber Genesis E320 model. It grills like a mofo. I love the thing.

I have a natural gas attachment on my porch, so I have unlimited gas to grill all day long.

Buy American!
(...for grills! that is)

Made in Palatine, IL (outside Chicago)
I used to live there and everyone owns a Weber.

I love my Weber Performer!
Gas start for charcoal grilling.

Most professional grillers only cook on charcoal, so the food doesn't taste like gas.

It's illegal to have natural gas in NY?

I guess that's why they don't have many good Mexican food joints

In NY, you cannot have a hard gas line outdoors (a direct gas feed) for any object that is movable. If you had a house, with something like a brick BBQ pit (basically, a grill that cannot be moved) then you can have it.

Wow that's crazy, I didn't know NY was limited like that. Few years ago my folks got a wicked Vermont Castings mammoth of a natural gas BBQ. It's great for people as they start to get older, not having to slug around propane cylinders, plus you never get stuck without gas at an inopportune time. Plus, with BBQs growing in size, the cylinders just don't last as long.
