Default GT3 PS2:Launching

How do you guys get a good launch at the start. My tires just spin until I shift at about 45 mph. By then I'm several car lengths behind.

Apply some real-life driving techniques ... I think you will then find the game to be pretty much how the designers wanted you to play it. Don't redline it all the way till the rev-limiter when you want to launch ... Bring it close to redline but not and that will be quite good off the line.

My S2 has so much power that I dont have to worry about how good I start, I catch them in the long run

I set the TC to the weakest setting (1). Then just punch it off the line. The TC will kick in just enough to get a good launch and then remain more or less off for the rest of the race
