The problem with driving the formula car is you get spoiled. EVERYTHING else seems slow (except on Speedway/Test tracks) and handles like crap. But since it is MR engine/drive you have to run other cars.
For FR drive, the S2000 LM race car isn't too bad but not quite as fast as the GTR R34 race car, and both are easier to drive fast than the Z06 I used to love so much.
If you want to brag then talk about how you dominated those races where you're forced to use a specific car (lame Vitz anyone?).

Hi! I've been looking to get an S2k, so i've been reading these forums for awhile, but never had anything interesting to add.. but here, I thought I could join in!
I've had GT3 for 2 weeks now, and I'm obsessed with it. I'm about 30% finished with the game.. I started out with a Miata, then an MR2 spyder, than, naturally, a Stook... I maxed out the S2000 (widening the gear ratios, I broke 222 on the test track), and then one the Virtigo, which I NA2 (i think 2.. maybe 3) modded (which is about all you can do to it.. it comes pretty complete.) I've used that car ever since.. it rides like a dream- an amazing balance of power and handling! I've recently moved up to the professional races, but 10 laps each for a 3-10 race series takes a lot of conentration to complete! I can still take all of the races with my Virtigo, and I'm actually a pretty lousy driver.
I also have about 20 other cars in my garage.. I started by buying all of the cars I'm actually thinking of purchasing- like having my own in-house dealer for test driving! I think I've narrowed it down to the S2K and the SLK... but then it's more a question of whether I want a race car or a luxury/toy... reading people's posts up here all but answers the question for me, though! Tough decision, but one I'll be happy to be able to make!
At any rate, thanks for all the info, guys.. and if you don't have GT3, get it! It's worth owning a playstation- if only for this one game! (seriously!)
Cheers,
Nathan

Oh.. I wanted to add here, since no one's posted it, an addendum to this trick.. if there is ever more than one prize car you want in a championship, you can get it with 2 memory cards and a bunch of cash.. do the trick outlined below, but save the game to both memory cards.. take the race, and sell the car to your second card. Repeat. You'll have to pay (at resell value) for all the cars but the last one you win, so make the last one the most expensive.. good if you want to collect all the cool concept/race/unavailable cars...
