GT3 Tracking Thread
i started with the funny lookin toyota hatchback, i forget what it was called. then i won the sprinter and miata, sold all of em, bought an R32 skyline gtr, stuck a bunch of upgrades on her, raced the 80's class and saved up for the s2k. i upgraded all the transmission parts (clutch, flywheel, etc) and some other stuff but no turbos yet so i can finish the NA races. next is either an nsx type r (so i can kick ass in the type r races) or a benz clk55 ($10,000 for going around the f'in oval speed track) so i can make lots of $$.

Also, the replays on this game are so awesome. I like to switch the point of view to the second car driver so I can see myself work in the #1 slot.
As far as I know you are stuck with the color..
As far as the s2ks go though, according to http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/gr...turismo_3_b.txt
In the Amateur races winning the Stars and Stripes Grand Championship will get you a spoon s2k.
Winning the Type-R Meeting will get you one of these at random:
NSX Type R, Spoon Sports S2000, Mugen S2000, S2000
Looks like if you win the Endurance Trial Mountain 2 Hour course, you can win an S2000 LN Race Car as well..

Yea whats up with all those endurance races? The cash looks real good but how long do they take and how hard are they (like can you mess up and still win or do you have to have a perfect line, braking, and acceleration through the whole thing)?
sorry about not getting back to you guys, as I've been playing GT3
I've basically got the S2000 (haven't got the Spoon S2000 yet) and modded it to the max (not the type-V)
on the large oval track, I got up to 273.
Maxxed out mistubishi 3000gt VR4 Turbo 284.
Maxxed out weird looking Suzuki thing (cost a million) got up to 272, but it corners like CRAZY!!! Maxxed out it's got a power to weight ration of .4!!!! It weighs somewhere around 600kg's!
Ok, here's hot to make lots of cash, relatively quickly if you have just ONE maxxed out car...take it to the GT world series race, race the series (not each track individually), if you come in first in each race (series is 10 races) you get 10,000....if you come in first for the series (via points system) you get an additional 50,000! so for a quick 15-20 minute tour, winning all the races, you can get 150,000!
After I won the series races, I went to the pro league (yeah skipped amateur altogether) went to the large oval track and got out my fastest car, and won 50,000 each time I won...it's a 15 lap race, takes about 15-20 minutes to finish. On this large oval race track, you don't need to worry about tire wear when the tires get to red (trust me on this) the track has easy enough turns that you don't need alot of grip anyways. by the 5th lap, my tires are shot, but I keep going...
Cars that I've owned and maxxed out:
Mazda Miata
Honda S2000
Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Turbo
Pagani Zonda C12S
Suzuki (wierd looking thing that costs a million)
and I finally won the Nissan Concept Z car....it looks like it would give the S2000 a run for the money, but IMO it's butt-ugly!
