have you ever thought about...
Getting my S2K as my first car has definitely taught me alot about myself and the people I call "friends"
Getting my car was the most impulsive thing I had ever done in my 23(well 22 years when I got the car)years of living. I shocked the crap out of everyone including myself. I don't regret it for one second.
Not onto the "friends" thing. I found myself becoming VERY popular and very hated at the same time. I realize who my true friends were and I'm glad I did. To me if someone judges you by the car you drive, they aren't worth your time

yeah, I never took my car when I went out with boys to clubs/parties. They learned soon after that the same confidence that gets the car gets the girls. Not the car
.
I bought the car as a reward for my first job after graduate school. I didn't think I could get it for less than 38000. That was the markup at the time, but I did a lot of research and after calling 42 dealerships I found it 1000 under msrp. My wife let me buy it because she knew it was my dream. I love it. I met a lot of great people in person in Sacramento and LA because of it and have had fun on this site as a moderator. Despite lifestyle changes, more money, 2 kids, i still have my s and don't see it going anywhere. I still get a kick out of driving it.
It was my first "nice" car. Was going to settle for an MR2, but the wife told me to go ahead and get the Honda. We stretched to buy it. I still remember the first day my wife and I drove around in it... giddy and exhilarated. Some of the giddiness has worn off, but still enjoy it with her on every nice day I can.
I credit the S2000 as the introduction to my spiral into hardcore automobile addiction....
But met some great people and a great community here on s2ki.com!

Through a mutual friend on the board, I met my husband.
Yeah we are all owners, but without the site, we never would've met. Thanks cthree!

Met some great people through this site, and though I've now moved out of town I still look forward to coming back and meeting up with everyone again. Plus, WTD next year will be a nice reunion!
