Default Hell of a night

We'll I'm starting to feel alot better from what I can only conclude as the one of the worst nights in my life.

Had some wendys around 8pm(2dbl stacks w/cheese plain with fries)Went to bed at 10pm,woke up a lil after 2am to some wicked stomach cramps,go sit on the toilet and let loose with what I would describe as pure liquid shit, than I realize I better grab the waste bucket as a torrential flood of chunky dbl stack liquid is about to spew from my mouth.

I go brush my teeth and do a mouth wash rinse, take a 4-5 oz. sip of water...30 seconds later I realize that wasn't a great idea as I'm back on the toilet with my head buried into the waste bucket. This went on for 3 hours till I was able to keep water down sippping small amounts every 5 minutes, however I was still crapping liquids(still am)

So the rest of the symptoms start to set in....chills,lower back and legs aching,dizziness...9am rolls and the chills subside and I'm back in just my boxers, sweating my balls off,and my head is now pounding, but I'm able to actually sleep now for 45-60 minutes at a time instead of just laying there.

3:15pm now, starting to feel really good now, still got the liquid shits and lower body cramps, job wants me to get checked to see if its H1N1 before returning to work, so I got a doctors appointment tomorrow.

So what do you guys thinks? Stomach Flu? H1N1? Food Poisoning?

Crap, I forget what it's called, but I had that too, I'd just driven 8 hours for a business trip, sitting in the hotel when I think...man that Arby's ain't sitting right.

So...as you described, and from that moment it was non stop out of both ends. I didn't sleep that night..obviously, then was really really weak the next couple days, then back to normal.

West nile? no.. it was something like that

I feel your pain man.

Happened to me before. Could be either. Food poisoning is from bacterial endotoxin and takes a few hours after the initial meal to kick in. Viral illness would have had a prodrome, so you'd have felt at least a little Ill before the holy hell kicked in. Either way, the key is to keep trying to keep hydrated. If you notice that you are making little to no urine, or other indices of dehydration (loss of skin turgor, etc.) get to a hospital for IV hydration.

Yea haven't pissed much more than maybe half an ounce, during the whole episode.

Drinking some ginger Ale now,Gatorade has never sat well with me when I've been sick like this.

Gingerale is not a bad alternative. It too will cause some osmotic diuresis, but the ginger is a natural anti-emetic. Again, water is the best.
