I've been there before. The perpetrator for me was raw oysters. UGH! Strangely, it took around 24 hours for symptoms to appear. Then the S### hit the fan. All night bent over the toilet. The next morning, I was hooked up to an IV. Not fun.

you could probably get by with the sugar rush but if you're really working hard water is the best way to rehydrate.

Dude I dont want to scare you but heres a quick anecdote:

My last day in Peru I chow down at a Peruvian bbq place. Stepping onto the plane I got really hot and started sweating and felt dizzy. I ended up on the throne every 30 minutes for 5 days! Never went to a doctor since I'm a hard headed A-hole so i never got it diagnosed. However, it seemed obvious to me. I dubbed that episode Atahualpa's revenge.
Hope your bout doesn't last that long, good luck - hope you have xtra TP.
