Check out the workout program I'm on, I usually wake up early and do it, takes less than an hour. It's perfect for getting chraged up, extra energy for the day, and it should really help you lose weight.

http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/fat_loss_workout.php

basically its a 12 week plan 5 days, 2 days of cardio, very fast paced, and well thought out.

I started this last week, and already I can tell a difference in the way I feel.

fwiw, I lifted weights very regularly for 3 years, then quit because of college, last week was my 1st time in a gym for almost 3 years.

when I was lifting I weighed 180 with about 15%bf at 6'0, now I'm tubbier (about 240lbs, much higher bf%)

I'm eating more smaller meals, working out on the plan, and I've been supplementing with Multi-vitamins, CLA, Calcium, ECGC, Omega-3, Chromium, Citrimax (HCA), and a thermogenic (caffeine)

I hope to be closer to 200 or at least below 20%bf by the time summer comes.

You should stop wasting all your time sitting on your fat ass on this website.

About a week ago I was 161lbs at 5'11"....... i feel like a homo..... so I started to lift again. I have been going to the Gym 5 days a week but concentrating on fitness instead of muscle..... I am trying to get back to about 170-175 but also be able to run / bike / better.....

dude ....i think for 6'2" 185lbs is skinny.I'm 5'8" and 160lbs and am not fat at all.
I'm 6' and 185 lbs and I'm a fat mofo.

Of course, I'm "skinny fat" but fat nonetheless.

When I was lifting/running I was 175 with 11% BF, but after getting sick and losing energy I'm up to 185 but I've lost a lot of muscle mass so I'm probably well over 20% BF now.

You wouldn't notice, though...unless I took off my shirt. I've got boobs

try being a man and eat some meat, this is part of the man law code...hence the reason god is punishing you for your disrespectful acts.

Eat the meat, be a man, the strength will suddenly appear.....your getting fat like a girl because you eat like one.

I'm with this guy. I'm 6'2" and somewhere around 200lbs. I don't weigh myself, but I know what I look like in the mirror. And, I have a pretty complete gym in my house, so I have no excuse. I lifted a ton in college/grad school but got off track after breaking my knee in April of my last year of grad school. When I was in shape, I had a pretty decent amount of muscle mass, but since I gave up lifting, it's turned to shit. I've never even used our multi-station weight machine, but I'm told by my wife that it's nice. I think I broke or bruised a rib a few weeks ago taking a spill on my parents' patio, and I tell myself that I'll get working on things once it starts feeling better (still hurts like hell at times, but the internet, MD says there isn't anything that can be done for broken ribs). So, that's my excuse for now, but I do plan on working on it soon. I like the option, though, of working out at home. I'm somewhat lazy, so any extra required effort could kill my motivation...

I know exactly how you feel. In school I started noticing the weight gain too. No freshman 15, but after I'd been in school 3 semesters I was starting to notice a difference. My response was to get to the gym 5 days a week, and it worked like a charm.

I'm sure the answer isn't a surprise. You need to create a calorie deficit. Eat healthier and more frequently (making sure your caloric intake is less overall) and do some more exercise. Also to note, the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism. Go get a body comp test and set some reasonable goals- you don't really care about WEIGHT, you care about FAT.

Worked for me!

I hear weed makes your metabolism rise, which is why you get so hungry. If you can abstain from devouring your moms pantry then perhaps this is the most promising solution

hehe

Well since Saturday I've started cutting back on how much I eat. I only ate a half a sandwich instead of a whole, only had a small haystack instead of big, and threw away some of the pizza that I would have normally eaten. Also, this morning I only had one slice of toast. The only problem is that I'm constantly finding myself hungry. Should I start chewing gum all the time?

In the past day we got a foot and a half of snow, so I won't be able to start running for a while. I did help push 8 cars out of the snow that were stuck yesterday, so I did get some exercise.

I also forgot to mention that I play volleyball twice a week for an hour. I also walk pretty much everywhere. So that's all the exercise that I'm getting.
