Default Help! PC reboots everytime I try to print

I am using an HP all-in-one PSC2210 and the PC reboots everytime I attempt to print anything. Anybody have any ideas as to what it could be?

Thanks

Sounds like you have too many temporary files to me. Do a search/find on "*.tmp" and delete them. Make sure that you search your complete hard drive/drives. This will probably help you.

Is it Windows XP or 2000? If so...it may be blue screening and you don't know it. By default they are set to reboot on a blue screen. On the blue screen you can sometimes get information that will point you towards your problem, but I suspect it is your print driver. I've seen various print drivers cause them in the past. I would uninstall it and see if you can download a different version from HP.

In the words of my local computer technician, this is his answer to all my computer problems: "Get a new computer"

Thanks guys.....I kinda figured that it is the driver because it has it's own powersource. If it received its power from the system then I would assume that it could be an issue with not having enough to support it all.

So that is the first thing that I am gonna look at when I get a chance.....

Power is my vote. I had an issue with a new comp in my lab. Barley used, but I was running a monitor, PC, and printer off one cable with an extension cord. It also liked to reboot whenever something activated the printer. Oddly enough, sometimes it didn't reboot, it just closed the current program. My solution was to get a 500va APC Battery Backup. Seemed to solve it. Good luck!
