StormBringer,

In college I worked in a fine watch store for 3 years.

I would say my favorite line is Omega.

I have a Tag and I love it. I have the older Link style, but the new Kirium's are great.
Raymond Weil is also one of my favorite, especially the Parsifal. Very sharp bracelet, thin case, nice dressy piece of jewelry. Both are in the 100-1500 range.

I agree with MajorHavoc - - - Tissot makes great watches at a great price.

My wife and I have his-&-her 'PR 200' models for over 5 years. Mine doesn't leave my wrist. The shower, pool, ocean, no problems at all. I've replaced one battery in each and they continue to keep perfect time. They also come with a saphire crystal, so no scratches on the face.

Try http://www.aaronswatches.com . I bought a Movado for my girl there, and it was 60% of the price at Macy's. I believe it is also cheaper than ashford.com.

After reading this thread, I looked at a few watch manufacturers websites. I went to the Festina website, and it told me that I couldn't view the site without IE 6.x. I have IE 5.5. There was NO OTHER OPTION to view an alternate version of the site.

Stupid web developers. LOL! I guess Festina doesn't want my business!

Movado is very good. Seikos are nice on the low end. Nothing compares to a Rolex though. If you buy name brand buy from a real dealer and not on the net!

BTW that Rolex Daytona is a fake

If you really want to impress your business clients...hire someone to stand near you, and whenever you want the time you ask and (s)he answers. The job would preferrably be filled by a very attractive woman.

I don't wear watches, I like the freedom I get from not having one.
