I would worry more about that awful football team in College Station than Ike.
Yeah, it might be tough to tell which one blows more.

BTW... I just read that the UT game (in Austin) got rescheduled due to Ike. Booo!!!

? Geez, I dunno what you should do...create a steel tent over them? Obviously the convert needs to be inside, but I don't think there's much else you can do besides throw a car cover on the ones outside to protect from minor debris.

I would say unplug everything in your house, maybe even shut down your circuit breaker if you can deal without power for a while if you're expect some serious damage?

Good luck, wear a helmet!
I love stories of people shutting off their power, leaving home for a week, and returning to find that they never lost power (from neighbors, friends, relatives). Only do it if you can stay (or come back within a day), or you don't have anything in your fridge...which prob. is the case if you're in college.

I'd unplug PCs, TVs, and other high-end electronics...but that's about it.

i lived in college station for 5 years. that place sucked. i'm glad i got the **** out of there.

people were the nicest i've ever met though. families inviting me in for dinner or just a bite of pie/dessert when it gets late and i'm still out playing on their street.

maybe it's different now, but when i lived there nobody locked their doors, and we had our garages open all day. otherwise, boring as hell.

LMAO

hahahah
oh dude i hate this town...with a mad passion
im from the east so this southern stuff sucks..the weather just isnt me

but yeah your right about the people here being the nicest ever
just now as i was tying up stuff outside..my neighbor comes up to me and is like can i help you out..i was practically done so i said no..but the thought of somone coming up to you and help you out
i remember there was this time when my bmw broke down as i was driving home. and in the couple minutes i was sitting outside atleast ten people stopped to help me out..the people are nice..just not my place of choice

nothing happens so we take little things and blow them out of proportion
