We haven't seen Hiro do anything with time frozen people/items other than move them in space. I was assuming that he had to release the time freeze in order to stab Sylar.
Watching the scene, it seemed as though time was frozen and Sylar was able to unfreeze himself locally... I don't know for sure, as there wasn't much else in the room that would be "live".

well, unless that's the sylar of the future who's time transported to the present. in the future episode, future hiro dies and so assuming sylar was able to defeat peter in their battle, he may have acquired both hiro's and peter's powers which allows him to transport through time and to freeze/unfreeze time.

Sylar never had the ability to freeze time. His ability allows him to figure out the inner-workings of things.

In the last episode, Sylar points out again that his motivation was to obtain powers that he deserved more than others did. He doesn't seem motivated to kill innocent (or non-special) people. Anyone get the idea that if Sylar ever kills Peter, and obtains the gift of proximity power-absorbtion, that he suddenly would stop killing? Or would he then begin to use his powers for something else?

Doubt it. If those others don't "deserve" their powers then the only way to "make things right" is to kill them, even after he gets Peter's powers.

The last future episode didn't show us how Peter disappeared (for Sylar to take his place) but Sylar obviously got him and the illusion-chick (or someone with similar powers) because he used both flying and illusion.

edit - and what is the value of the little girl's locating ability. So what if she pinpoints Sylar? He has demonstrated strong defensive abilities and he's been confronted before (heck, Eden captured him). Maybe to get the Haitian in proximity?

Here is the big question.

If the Haitian can stop their powers, can Peter absorb his power, or will the Haitian over-ride that power?

And what if Peter absorbs the Haitian's powers, can he nullify his own powers and in doing so not be able to nullify his powers?

This exact thought occurred to me. If Peter just went to Sylar and said, "okay kill me and take it" that would be the last time Sylar would *have* to kill.

Not that Peter would do that, it just occurred to me.
