Didn't Peter tell Nicki that he was the one who blew up and not Sylar? Plus he can heal using Claire's ability.
Peter was led to believe he was the one who'd blow it up. Isaac's paintings never clearly depicted Peter at the center of it, from what I can recall. I could be wrong on this.

And I'm also not sure how Ted's ability to go nuclear works. Ted seems no worse for the wear, so it's possible that the detonator would suffer no ill effects of the blast.

I think Peter's ability to heal like Claire is a moot point--Ted never needed to heal after he released nuclear radiation, even after setting fire to his house and blowing up the Bennett household. So it's a stretch, but one could reason that after blowing up NYC Peter was just left alone standing in a smoking crater.... lol

EDIT: dur, just realized WSB beat me on that one...

Sylar has to kill the person to gain their power. Peter just has to empathize (visualize?) with the person with the ability.

I was a little confused how Sylar was able to come out of the stopped time and engage Hiro. Everything else remained frozen until Hiro and Ando zapped out.

Also, it blows me away how easily manipulated Suresh is.

"Hey, we have this little girl who can find anyone just by thinking about them... we need her to find Sylar."
"Oh, okay, I'll help."

Yeah, like they're not going to use her to find Claire and the other "heroes".

Peter needs to be around the person to obtain the ability from what I gather. He can't just visualize and obtain it.

Good thought about Micah's role.

My guess about Sylar's ability to move is either he absorbed a related power (we didn't see ALL of his kills) or Hiro's concentration failed when he realized he couldn't do the deed.

Part of super-hero mythology is the catch-and-release of both heroes and villains (why won't the bad guy ever kill Batman when he has the chance?). While it is annoying at least it fits the genre.

We haven't seen Hiro do anything with time frozen people/items other than move them in space. I was assuming that he had to release the time freeze in order to stab Sylar.

Well, right. Both Peter and Sylar need to come in contact with someone with abilities. Except Peter doesn't need to kill the person to gain that power.
