second episode was much better... still not seeing the point of Hiro going back to the past.

 

I think the point is to give the writers a way to incorporate a hot Japanese girl.

 

im slightly dissapointed with this new season, last season was better and captured my interest a lot more....hopefully things will pick up....

 

I'm thinking that Hiro is Kensei. This is the reason his father told him all the stories. It would also explain why the sword is so special to him, it actually is his sword.

 

I think that's a foregone conclusion.... of course, that would also mean that all the events in modern time are a foregone conclusion. And that his ability to shift and the changes he will make to history are all preordained. There's a reason why time travel is a REALLY bad plot element in on-going series. It's impossible to rewrite history and not impact the time which you originated. Consider the impact of unleashing the modern influenza or cold strains on 17th century Japan. It would decimate that population.

 

just curious, did peter petrelli show up in the box when they first introduced him in season 2 or did they have like a flashback behind it? i missed the first episode

 

The Irish guys found him in a cargo container at the end of S02EP1

 

i don't know. but we did find out that kensei has the power to heal himself, much like claire.

 

I don't think Kensei healed himself very well.

 

i got the impression that she was pissed at nathan because nathan didn't follow the plan they had agreed on, and not so much that peter is dead. besides, maybe she knew that peter was capable of surviving the nuclear explosion, much like ted never died from his nuclear episodes.
