Hispanic Phone Solicitors?
I know a few people that have gotten plenty of solicitors calling them on their cell phones. Is it really illegal??? Maybe in NJ it is, but I don't think it is in CA.

I've been using a "Telezapper" for about 2 months now and it has worked. The deal is that every caller gets a *beeeep* at the beginning of the call. This is mildly annoying BUT if one of those demon diallers calls (those calls where you answer and there's silence for a couple of seconds before the telemarketter come on) the beep mimicks the phone co's beep and tells the dialler that this line is not in service so:
A) the call is not transferred to a telemarketter and
B) (EVEN BETTER) your number is taken out of the demon dialler. That machine will NEVER call you again.
It works to.

I used to be a phone repair man and had to fix the phones in telemarketting centres. Hated to enable them but BOY I wouldn't want to do THAT crap job. Talk about sweat shops.
