onkyo is great bang for buck. I'm over ht in a box systems though. I recently got a really nice Denon reciever with true HD decoding. It was a grand. I forget the model, but the lowest denon with hdmi decoding was available on amazon for 500 with no tax and free ship. If you don't get hdmi decoding you'll already be behind the times.
