Default Honda Civic Vx ramblings - hybrid - etc...

Ok.. i bought this car (1993 VX w/ 120k miles)for $2500 which now that i cleaned it up, it looks kind of like a 16 year olds car. all stock right now.

Do i put another $5k into it and make it a still ugly 170+hp hybrid with coilovers, 14" race tires (yoko roadrace), etc...(no body shit or aftermarket wheels, just a cheap track car)......

I was thinking it would be smarter to destroy a $7500 car at the track than anything else that I may buy.?

I feel like a goober driving it (ok...more of a goober than i usually feel like)...it is all blue, but it has a few dings, some crappy body work around the front fender and it as those super skinny VX wheels.

thanks for any help....Scot

You could have so much fun with that car if you wanted to. Once you lower it and get those cookie cutters off, it will take on a whole new shape. I say you keep it and play. If not, please sell it to me. I will make the trip up from SA.

I'm thinking of building up my '88 CRX as well. It looks much older than 14yr. old car, but I'm thinking that anything I can do to the CRX will be cheaper than my ever-growing investment in the S2000.

Of course, you don't have the problem anymore, do you?

Sorry to hear about the 'busa.....

Man talk about buyer remorse. Don't think of the Civic as another car, think of it as a project. It's not a big investment but with the right planning and budgeting you can get a kick ass car out of it.

hehe.. jury is still out on this thing. I think if i can just find a $500 nonrunning version of the same car I wouldn't really care as much. I thought I was getting a deal on this one, but the more I look at it, the more I laugh at how ugly it is

I DID GET MY MEGABUSA REFUND BACK
