I saw a footage like this a while ago on tv (maybe it is the same one). In it, the japanese fisherman said the reason why they did it was because "the dolphines were stealing the fish."

that'll teach those fish stealing dolphins! The Dophins are supposed to eat at McDonalds, not *steal* fish.
