i'm at 7 hours... it doesn't really matter to me if i get 12 hours of sleep the night before or 2 hours, cause i am just NOT a morning person. i HATE getting up in the morning.... when i was just going to school i could never take classes before 10 am because i wouldn't ever show up. now that i work i don't really have a choice but coffee is definitely a necessity. i sleep like a champ though, i can sleep in 'til 4-5 pm on saturdays and sundays if i get a chance but i usually won't, especially if it's nice out.

I can get by with 6 hours of sleep, but really need 8.

I'm just not a morning person. I don't know what it is. I just can't get going at 6 or 7 in the morning.

I chose 6 hours... For some reason, no matter how hard I try, I have a really hard time getting to bed early at night. I don't know what it is... I mean sometimes I take the S out at night for a late night drive in the nice fresh weather, but when I don't do that and I'm just sitting at home, I can never seem to get to bed early. And when I do get to bed early... I usually just keep tossing and turning until like 12:30 and then I have to wake up at like 6:30 to 6:45. So, I was just curious to see how many hours everyone else got... lol.

I'm on the exact same boat as you
well, except for going out for a drive (boo to $3.50/gallon gas)

I guess it doesn't help that the last thing I do before getting to bed is play Guitar Hero (I'm literally losing sleep over those missed notes)

To feel rested, I have to have at least 8 hours of sleep. But there's a weird thing with me. If I don't get a full 8 hours of sleep, then I'd try to avoid getting 6-7 hours, as I function better at less than 6 hours of sleep than 6-7. For example, if I get 4 hours of sleep, I'd function better than having 7 hours. When I get 6-7 hours, I'd become so exhausted to a point of being dysfunctional, accompanied by major headaches. So I'd rather get 4-5 hours instead. But 8+ hours is most idealistic.

Years ago, I used to be fine and rested with 7 hours of sleep, but now, it keeps increasing (to 8 hrs). Sometimes now, 8 hours is not even enough. God, I don't hope my body will require 9 hours to be rested in the future. That would suck! Getting 8 hrs is hard enough, let alone getting more. I wish I'd feel rested with just 6 hours, but my body wouldn't let me.
