Default How to boost your ratings

Where I live we are fortunate enough to have 2 different radio stations that broadcast the speed camera locations when they do the traffic report from their helicopters. The police absolutely hate it and are always trying to get it legislated against. Motorists love it and the stations have gained a lot of dedicated listeners. IMO more radio stations should do this. What do you think?

If the police are interested in slowing traffic down to make safer conditions, they should appreciate those reports.

If they see the speed cameras as revenue sources, they would hate the reports.

Revealing, huh?!

For a while, the police were posting in the local newspapers where they were going to be setup for the day. Don't know if they still do it.

Back when we had photo rader going, Radio stations would let us know where they were. It eventually evolved to the point where drivers would get out to check out the decoy vans, then they would let us now which ones were active.

it was pretty good back then

Ok, if anyone important is listening to this. I'm sure if any station would be willing to tell us the location of speed cameras and speed traps that you would gain thousands of loyal viewers almost instantly.

Glad, we got rid of that...all it caused was people to stand on the brakes when they see the van, then speed up again when they were clear.
