How Did You Find Your Job?
I've given thought to it, even took a Marketing course while I was in college because I was going to minor in it until I found out my BFA wouldn't recognize a minor and I had so many studio classes from where I switched my major it just wasn't possible to squeeze in a minor and graduate on time. That is something I have given thought to though. I might look more into it some.
I got laid off in December '01 (IT field) and found my next job in the paper.
Apart from the interview going well, they said I was also the only person they interviewed who sent a follow-up thank you letter.
Of course, while I was laid off I also decided to start a business, as I don't want to be in the position of being laid off and worrying about money again. I figure I'll quit my job when the income from my business is triple that of my job.

I work in the gaming industry. I got my start through my brother-in-law. He got me a job in tech support by getting me an interview with the Tech Support manager. I was probably hired on as a favor
Since then, I've moved out of tech support and for the past 4 years I've been involved in game design and game production. My past two titles have been -
"Lead Game Designer" and "Associate Producer"
Not bad for someone who is still in college

I see a theme of people in california either just posting a lot or coming across some damn good job opps. I've been doing some research a little bit and a lot more thinking about the direction I'm wanting to go. Maybe I should try to hit up some of my contacts in California.
got my job through the personal network. an old high school classmate passed my resume along to one of her recruiter friends.. and that's how i ended up where i'm at. when i got laid off in april, i went through a couple workshops w/ Spherion - they couldn't emphasize ENOUGH on working that network!!

When would the day come?
