I am thinking of doing it at dinner, just not sure if I just hand it to her, or get out of the chair and kneel. or what. Here's pics of the beautiful future bride

well we were on vacation in disney world, our third night there i made sure that we were standing in front of the castle while it was lit up watching fireworks. i was standing behind her with my arms around her. i placed the open box into her hand and turned her to face me as i kneeled down and popped the question. i guess it did the trick
. on another note, she later told me that she figured i was going to use the trip to propose, but when i didnt do it the first couple of nights, she assumed she was wrong, so it was even more of a surprise.

u can try the romantic getaway thing, chicks dig that mushy stuff...
there is a local race track nearby a small town that's quite popular in the summer time for a w/e getaway from the city. well i had a track day coming up, figured i'll go a bit early, stay at an old school bed & breakfast, go to the beach, chill, propose, then go race. everything was going great until i realized i forgot the ring at home.
my second attempt was at f1. we went for the thursday walkabout, had great time, met alonso and jpm up close. got some great pictures and autograph. then when the event was over and we were walking back to the car i heard street cars running. turns out vip's were getting rides in the amg benzes around the track. i wanted to go time them to see how fast they're running. so we went back into the stands, climbed to the top and enjoyed the view. by then there were nobody left... we're just enjoying the view and nice weather. had a great day. seemed like as good a time as any. so i told her to close her eyes, busted out the ring, and said "wala." she was happy.

I did it in front of about 60 family members (including her parents, bro's and sis in law)...it was my niece's 2nd b-day. when it was time to sing happy b-day to my niece my sis asked danielle (wifey) to get marina (niece) and sit with her at the table where the cake was coming to. then you heard some music in the back ground, it was the song hero by julio (sp?) (she loves that song so cut me some slack here
) then my sis was carrying the cake out, only it didn't say happy bday...it said " Will you marry me danielle?" as i dropped to one knee and asked her ......she couldn't talk but just shook her head up and down rapidly

Ever since we met two weeks ago, I knew you were the one for me. Your style, your booty, and your class are beyond all compare. In a world populated with many fine men, you are without a doubt the most fine. Let Kitty take you out tonight or, if you are busy, tomorrow night to show you how I treat a man as exceptional as you. Allow me to break it down:
First, I will pick you up from your house in a white limousine and take you to the finest dance club in the entire city. The people at this club will be attractive and the beats will be crazy. We will not be in the club for a minute before we get on the dance floor. Even though the other people will be good dancers, we will be the best. When you bump, I will bump. When you grind, I will grind. We will move together like twins who happen to like to freak.
When you have had your fill of dancing, I will take you by the hand and lead you to the most romantic corner of the entire club and sit you down on one of the plush, red-velvet couches. While you rest, Kitty will go the bar and purchase a drink for you. Before I bring it back to you, I will taste it, demanding finer gin should it fall short of my expectations for you. Also, I will ask for less ice so that your gin and tonic is not diluted.
While you sip your drink, I will stroke your hair and tell you such complimentary things as "You are like a fine statue carved out of brown marble," and "Your eyes are like pools of creamy Italian butter," and "You have beautiful shoes." You will know that I mean these things because they come from the heart, and the heart is always true.
At this point, we will go back to my place, where I will prepare a dinner specially suited for one as lovely as you. While I am cooking the meal, we will talk about your life, your hopes, and your dreams. At this point, I will unthaw a deluxe bag of jumbo shrimp for you to sample as the appetizer.
There will also be cocktail sauce.
Finally, our eyes will lock as you bite into the rich chocolate dessert I have slaved all afternoon over and discover in your mouth a photo of the ring I would like to have along with directions to the nearest Harry Winston store.

Good question deserves a good answer. Take her away somewhere, have a nice romantic dinner and go for a walk.
When I proposed it was along a beautiful river with big tall pine trees in a snowstorm with giant flakes falling.
Thanks for the memory. It's thirty three years later and it gets better every day.
Good luck to you both
Have a great life together
