Swallow a spoon full of sugar.

Hold your breath (pinch nose) and drink water at the same time.

I saw a news story a couple of weeks ago saying that some Dr.'s are recommending an orgasm to cure hiccups. No joke. They said it seems to work better for women but also works for many men.

Good luck in finding something that works.

My remedy it to take a full glass of water and a full breath. Suck it up then while holding your breath drink tiny sips of water (about once a second) do this until you can't hold your breath anymore and they will be gone

Works firsttime everytime.

About 25 years ago I had them for 36 hours straight with a max 1/2 hour break - very frustrating. I tried all the usual tricks but nothing worked. Finally I went to my local GP and he prescribed a potion made of dried seaweed. Once you ate it it expanded in your stomach and pressed the stomach against the diaphragm thus preventing a hiccoughing convulsion.

Worked wonders and stopped the hiccoughs in about 15 minutes flat!

My remedy, which always seems to work. Hold your breath and swallow 3 times (or more if you can).
