I saw a news story a couple of weeks ago saying that some Dr.'s are recommending an orgasm to cure hiccups. No joke. They said it seems to work better for women but also works for many men.
Good luck in finding something that works.

My remedy it to take a full glass of water and a full breath. Suck it up then while holding your breath drink tiny sips of water (about once a second) do this until you can't hold your breath anymore and they will be gone
Works firsttime everytime.

No this is not a joke. There was a fairly long segment on some news show I was watching a couple of weeks ago. It sounded hokey to me but -- hey whatever works.
I don't joke about hiccups. Several years ago I had an unfortunate incident that caused the bottom of my esophagus to rip. That has caused me a lot of problems and hiccups are VERY painful. After surgery a few years ago I had hiccups for about 12 hours and I would have tried anything short of a bullet in the brain to get rid of them.
I wish blau-blau the best, after a few minutes hiccups are no fun for anybody.
I haven't been able to teach this to anyone, so this probably won't help, but I just relax my diaphragm. Somehow I figured out exactly what to relax when I was a kid, and now I can just stop at will.
Most of the other methods are really just ways of achieving the same thing. When you're hiccuping, you unconsciously tense up your diaphragm, 'cause you know the next one is coming. If you're concentrating on something else or distracted, no tensing, and no hiccup.
If you really pay attention when you're hiccuping, you'll feel the tension in your stomach area just before a hiccup hits - that's what you need to relax.
Ahhh, never mind, just try the orgasm thing
.

Tedster is 100% right.
My mom taught me as a kid to "concentrate on your throat muscles". This works for me every time. Usually one, sometimes two hiccups, but then nothing. You cannot go about it casually, though. You need to sit down and seriously concentrate on relaxing your throat muscles. Close your eyes and meditate on them. Don't be discouraged/distracted if a couple happen (or more for y'all beginners!) and, importantly, don't stop concentrating too soon after they stop or they will return.
This has worked for me absolutely every time for many years now.
It's also the first time I've heard anyone else mention the same technique! Usually when I tell folks, they look at me weird...
