I found the straight blade worked better for me. I had a Phillips rotating head shaver, and just didn't like it. I do need to clean the straight blade with the little brush every few days to get the best shave, but that only takes thirty seconds.

I use a Panasonic wet/dry for my face. It's nice because it's waterproof and can be used with or without shaving lotion and wet or dry. For my neck though I use a schick quattro. I've never found an electric that did anything on my neck.

I use a mach 3 as well. Does anyone else think that these blades are a complete rip off though? They last 1-2 weeks (can be used longer wtih a duller blade) and replacement cartridges are EXPENSIVE! I was hopeing that there would a razor blade online site where I could buy these in bulk for cheap, but $8 for 4 blades seems like a rip off to me.

I don't use soap or cream, just water when I shave.

I like to shave in the shower, but if it is at the sink, I only use water also. No need for shaving cream or after shave!!

I think we need a few ladies to chime in.

Depends on what part of the body --- usually sugaring treatment over razor is my preference.

1. Take shower and rinse face as soon as you get in the shower.

2. While washing, rinse face often

3. After toweling off from shower, immediately shave

4. Use shaving soap (yep in the mug with a brush) - you can get she soap really wet and sudsy

5. Shave with a Mach 3 in one direction

6. Resoap face with brush and shave with a Mach 3 against the grain of the hair.

You should try going to one of those barber shops where they shave you with a knife. My ex used to go and his face was always silky smooth. For daily use, he used mach 3

Oh man, I never shave against the grain. If I do my skin burns like it's on fire and then breaks out! WOW!
