I don't have a job yet...still going to college, but I did have a part-time job teaching Karate to small kids and it was painful as hell!

Welder here. Pretty stress free. Not too physically demanding. Pay isn't too shabby. Make more than most of my friends that graduated college.

From what I heard, and depending on the company, you can make up to $200/hr. But there is so much stuff you have to go through like getting your scuba cert., lots of welding certs., etc. It is quite the process. It is also pretty dangerous. But I guess that's why it pays so well.

^ It's great if you like working inside a pitch black, metal pipe 250 feet underwater everyday.

It's like working in space without the view. You couldn't pay me enough.

The word claustrophobia comes to mind when I think of hardhat diving.

I had a professor who said he was a welder's helper for one summer. He said he did all the nasty stuff a certified welder wouldn't do.

For me, I'm a design Engineer. I like it; very rewarding.

It is, especially in the oil and gas business. These guys get paid by the dive and
the depth. The only problem is you only last about 10 yrs, after many decompressions (chamber time) this starts to take a toll on your major organs.
Most by that time though are supervisiors.

I'm a dancer at the all male dance review. I get a lot of older women groping me but that's just business. I make great money though.
