how to get point across to guy
ok...so not to start another relationship thread but my gf and i recently broke up but we are still talking/seeing eachother about once a week...she goes to school about 2 hours away...super sweet girl and has nice guy friends...EXCEPT..and as expected..one is always trying to get with her...im up here this weekend and one of the guys i have always been cool with..i can tell by the way he acts that he has some rather dubious intentions...not that i wouldnt be doing the same thing if the situation were reversed..but how do i get the point across that he should maybe lay off until we figure things out for good...i dont want to be a dick but at the same time i dont want him sabotaging whats left of our relationship...i welcome serious and funny advice..thanks all
Well if you broke up, then you broke up. She's fair game in my book.
She may not even want to jump back into a relationship at this point anyways, so he could just be wasting his time. But if you broke up, she's free to do as she pleases.
Good luck man. Seems like the OT forum has become the relationship advice column.

its her job to determine what guys she lets get close to her or not.
If she can't handle her business, realize that and guard yourself. You have to determine what kind of character trait that is for a girl to have a 'significant other' and still welcome that kind of attention from someone else. Goes for you, too

if she's not your gf anymore then you really don't have any rights to her...she's likely using this break to evaluate how she feels about you in relation to how she feels about other guys. your best hope is that you're doing...something...better than he is. like you said, if the situation were reversed you'd be doing the same thing. being a jerk to him though is probably not gonna make you look any better in her eyes, so tread lightly.
on the other hand, if the guy is always trying to get with her, and hasn't yet, then you may not have anything to worry about.
hmm...now something funny...ah yes

^^these guys are right. my boyish instinct just kicked in when i posted before
when it happened to me, i just backed off and stayed out of contact and she realized what she was missing
we're still the best of friends btw, and she has no problem with admitting that she still wants it every once in a while. i calmly told her my opinion on the two other guys after me, and after doing her own thing, she admitted that i was right both times. SCORE!

How many of these retarded threads do we have to read. They are all the same....let me give you a hint, don't date chicks with a ton of guys friends. Always assume these three things, any guys that are "friends" with a chick either want to Fuk her, have tried to Fuk her, or have Fuked her. I don't understand why guys trick themselves into believing that platonic guy and girl relationships work, because they don't. The bullsh1t "friend" relationships on TV like on the shows "Friends" and "My Boys" don't exist because they are made up. You can guarantee that if a women is attractive, all guys are going to want to Fuk her. Personally, I never took women with tons of guy "friends" seriously. This is because I am a guy and I know how guys think, so whats the point of putting myself through the misery that so many women put men through. Your only way to combat this is to hang out with alot of chicks. The problem with this is, chicks are fuking boring to just "hang out" with (they don't typically like sports, guy talk, etc.). So, my friend, it is a double-edged sword and my advice is to move on. First and foremost, you shouldn't have to work hard to "win-over" a chick, if the whole process isn't easy and enjoyable, she is definately not worth it.
