i think that everyone is born with a "gift". whether it be beauty, athleticism, intelligence, money, or whatever. i also think that one should exploit the hell outta that gift in order to reach whatever goals they have set for themselves;in essence, if the shortest distance between point "a" and point "b" is your gift, use that shit, but be cognizant that sometimes it will only get you so far.

moreover, people get into trouble when they neglect to develop other talents, relying solely on God given ones, or better yet they fail to "maintain" them...a prelude to the downward spiral.

oh, and contrary to the popular belief on this board, not only do looks fade, but so does everything else.

Somone once told me you'll never meet a beautiful homeless person. I've come to agree with that statement.

Good looking people have it better and its easy to see why. People like things to be aestheticly pleasing. Cars, homes, other people, whatever. If you have two equally qualified people running for the same job, one is an ugly lard ass, the other looks like a supermodel, who do you think would get choosen? Who would you choose? Who would you rather look at on a daily basis? Seems pretty simple to me.

All the fugmos want to be beautiful - and while its largly unnattainable for most, you can set yourself apart in other ways - money, intellect, whatever.

Play the cards you were dealt. Carry yourself well, have some class and do the right thing - regardless of how you look it'll pay off in the end.

 

I dated a girl like this, dumb as a rock, she was good looking but not extremely good looking by any means. She would tell me all the time how people always told her how cute she was and she was VERY cocky about it. When i told her she was stuck up and i dumped her she told me she was one in a billion and she has the highest of morals etc etc. and i would never find anyone as good looking as she was. i just laughed in her face and sent her on her way.

I hear ya bro, you can take a hot knockout idiot blonde and have her work out in politics and so on. On the other hand, no matter how hot a girl is, would you want a C average girl performing a Triple Bypass on you? And there you have it, not as many hotties make it to doctor hood as say business ^^.
