i've done it in 9 hours...from queens...averaging about 80-90mph....going through watertown.

it also depends on which route you take. do you plan on going through buffalo/niagara falls or watertown?

i always drive through watertown and the border is hardly crowded over there. i hear niagara falls is pretty congested.

Toronto is 3 hours from Rochester and 6 hours from NYC. I'd say 9 hours if you take I-90 to Buffalo then 190 up through Niagra Falls and then the QEW to Toronto. Niagra Falls can be congested depending on which bridge you take but it never takes that long to get through. One of the bridges is never crowded and one usually is. I can't remember which is which though, sorry. I think the Peace Bridge is the one you want.
