How Long is YOUR Dipstick?
Sorry for spoiling all the fun & going back on topic here, but I thought I'd check my S2000's Dipstick (just for clarification...get your minds out of the gutter!!!
) since I also questioned this in another thread.
My S2000's Dipstick (just for clarification, again) reads the same as S2Kman's (XXXs range from 20 13/16" - 21 3/8"). Could the S2000s' Dipsticks w/Cyl#4 problems be reading differently?
OK guys...now back to the normal programming already in progress.

well..just a comment...be glad you HAVE a distick!!! on my old bugatti racecar[1930] there is no way to measure the oil level....because of lots of natural leakage[no gaskets,no crankshaft seals],possible water contamination and other factors, it's best to drain it warm after 30 minutes of hard running and refill with the exact amount of new oil....only then do i know exactly how much oil is in it...real diehards will drain the oil , heat it, and refill the engine with warm oil on a cold start...ah, the good old days.
btw.. the next time someone has an s2000 engine apart it might be interesting to observe the crosssection of the sump at the level of the marks on the dipstick and guage the volume of oil per distance between marks....or has someone already done this???
