How Many Of You (Americans) Still Eating Beef???
Mad-cow disease, also known as bovine spongiform encephalopathy or BSE, eats holes in the brains of cattle.
~the risk to human health from BSE is extremely low.
+ Colorado does not receive meat from that processing plant
so yes I am still eating beef

Just BBQed a good New York steak last night, and it was good. There seems to be a lot of sales on beef lately, so I've been picking up some good cuts for cheap. I feel like a having a burger for lunch- yummy!
quite honestly, the cost of all this hoopla over mad cow is ridiculous. the real threat is to cattle populations, not to Humans. The cost of "making safe" from Mad Cow disease the beef americans eat far outweighs the minute possibility that someone could contract the disease. I'm still munching on beef, but i usually choose chicken or fish anyways because it's healthier and i'm trying to lose weight.

Ya, I still eat meat... Chance of Mad-Cow disease is 1 in a million, but you can't even contract mad cow disease from a steak, I read that it's only a disease that you can get through the cow's brain or spinal chord area..

In order for mad cow-infected beef to enter the food supply, a great number of unlikely occurrences would need to happen, all of which violate USDA regulations, so I am not particularly concerned.
