Phones can do the same job, and you only need to carry one device instead of two.
I'm an Android user since day one so no interest in the iPhone5, but wanted to ask
I stream over 10k songs with Google Music. The stuff I frequently listen to I just "pin" so I don't need to use battery streaming.I do!
I run between 15 and 20K's a day.
You don't want to hold a phone, nor have to stash it somewhere to carry.
The micro ipods are great, though can be a little shitty with volume control changing after getting charged. I wear headphones that don't have a volume control and I'm always forgetting to adjust the violume after a charge.
The Ipod Nano's are the best medium, easy to clip, lightweight and let you have more control...
If your pounding out K's on a treadmill, than an iPhone can work, but too many things like email, facebook, sms calls can be disrupting.

And I run on trails a lot. If I take a spill (and I do occasionally) I'd rather trash a Nano than my iPhone.

Very good point.
Won't be long, before the iPhone will be more Iphone nano.. I'll be digging that!

I'll switch to an andriod device now that there won't be an iphone 5.
