I made $8.65 = $18,000 in 1992 right out of college......Accounting major with a 2.94 GPA from a "state school"

the value of $ has changed since then....but right now we pay $11.00 = $22,880 for our plant guys to start.....

$18.27 = $38,000. . . Civil Engineering, state school. . . in 1996.

Still can't believe that I was able to live on that salary. . .

I made $39,800 right out of school. CIS major w/3.0 GPA from a state school. This was 1997, beginning of the bubble.

out of undergrad (state school) I bartended four days a week and pulled in about $700 to $1000.

BTW, that was tax-free money

My first "real" job following graduate school (another state school) I pulled in about $52k.

Man, quit yer bitcin' people. I'm graduating in may and I'll be lucky to find something at more than $24k (if I can find a job at all). I'll more than likely be free-lancing for a while and working an odd job on the side.
