Default how much do you tip? Who do you tip?

Waitress / waiter - 20% if they did a decent job. Never less than 15% unless I actually see them spit in my food.

Valet Parking - $3.00 - thanks for beating the shit out of my car in the 2 minutes you drove it.

Car wash dryer's - I went to the automatic car wash once.... I tipped them $5.00 to stand around and talk, while halfassed drying the car.

Pissboy - I am not sure where they got the idea for this job. I rarely tip the pissboy.... what a stupid idea.

Homeless People - I used to give $ to those "will work for food" people.... then I saw one of them drinking bottled water and smoking cigarettes while he was begging for $.......

Grocery packers - they used to take them to your car...i would tip $1. for that, but now they don't even offer...

Wait staff - 20% is it's stellar service but it rarely is... so 15%.

Valet - What's that? No one drives my two newer car but me.

Car Wash - What's that? No one washes my two newer cars but me.

Bellboy - $1 a bag.

Maid - $5 a day if she keeps my cooler full of ice.

Golf bag boy/club cleaner - $5

Shoe Shine - $3

Homeless - My wife and I give $$$ and toiletries to the Open Shelter. Those standing on the corner are not typically homeless.

Wait Staff 10% unless exceptional and then 15%-25%

Valet- No one touches the S. Civic usually $3

Hair Dresser $5 Just for a haircut. I'm a guy.

Homeless. Nothing anymore. To many people out making more money than me just acting hoemless. I donate to local charities now. The cloths drives, Christmas toys, and such.

I only tip $1.00, no matter where (expensive resturants excluded). This way I don't need to worry about it.

My rule: Anyone who takes care of a man, his car, and his food deserve great tips.

On average services:

Waiter/Pizza delivery 25-30%

Haircut 50%

Havent really done anything to my car to warrant a tip yet

Wait Staff: %20-%30...%15 if they weren't very good
Valet: Rarely let other touch my car, but if I have to valet, I'll throw up a $10 before they leave to make sure they take care of my car. I find it's usually better to just tip $10-$20 and ask for VIP parking so I can keep an eye on the car and so I don't have to wait for them to grab my car at the end of the night.

Bartenders...wow, depends, I've tipped up to %50 if their hot and have been taking care of me all night (ie, I don't have to wait in line for drinks).

My view on tipping is that those people working for tips have to bust a$$ to make their money and as long as they take care of me, I want them to know I appreciate it.

waiter/bartender - 25% to 30% (i used to be in the biz, so I know what its like to get a nice tip)

haircut - 50%

valet - depends, one time $3-$5, or probably $25 for a whole weekend

anyone else with their tip jars - 0% (like people at Starbucks, etc.) I'm waiting on them, not the other way around.

Waitress / waiter - I have left between .0001% and 210%. It depends on how pleased im with their work.
Valet Parking - Nothing... I never leave my car in valets.

Car wash dryer's - Nothing... wash by hand.

Pissboy - From 2 - 7 bucks. Its not easy smelling other peoples shit. If he is working there is because hes a hardworker... I prefer him being there than outside stealin my car or takin wellfare from my taxes.

Homeless People - NOTHING! I have paid for their food, but will never give them cash, unless his performing or something.

Grocery packers - Havent seen one in a while.
