how much to ship a small item from US to Canada?

i have a shift knob that someone from canada is interested in buying, how much does it usually cost to ship something like that to canada? what carrier would be the cheapest?

hum....I don't remember how much it was...but last year i shipped a small item to England...hum...I don't remember it being over $20.
