Default Shipping from Orlando,FL to Canada

I'm working out a possible rim trade with a member from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I'm in Orlando, FL. Does anyone know what we should expect to pay for shipping. The rims I would be trading him are the only ones I currently own so I can't unmount them, box them up, and get a quote till we both agree on it being a done deal.

We both have a set of 17" rims, and both sets are light...probably no more than 65-70lbs in the rim weight for both of us.

Please let me know if you have a rough idea / or accurate info of how much this would cost. I appreciate any help, Thanks

-Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forum

Go to UPS.com there is a shipping calculator you can put in the weight and dimensions and it will give you the cost.

Go to the UPS or FedEx website and lookup a shipping quote. You can put in the box measurements and approx weight and they'll tell you what you need to know.

I am going to guess that UPS ground will be about $120 per party including insurance.

You can use UPS as a guide for pricing, but don't use UPS to ship it. The brokerage fees will be ridiculous, and the guy receiving will get ahem, hosed, when they finally arrive.

US Postal Service is usually the cheapest way to get things from the US to Canada.

What Mindcore said. DO NOT USE UPS, whatever you do.

I'd expect more like $250 to ship to Canada, based on what I've paid to ship things to my Dad up there...

Greyhound bus run in your area? Probbly the cheapest way to ship rims.

The guy in edmonton should expect to pay gst and duties on the rims your sending him...regardless if they are a even trade (no money involved). He is going to get raped... they will ding him with 5%gst on what they figure the rims are worth... and if the rims arent made on north american soil, he will have to pay 6% more tax. Unless you put GIFT on it... hehe
