Hey, I may be selling one of my cars. I'd like to sell it to a private party (and not a dealer) but have no clue the procedures involved. I've never sold a car before so I'm not sure how to go about doing it. I still owe the bank quite a bit of money on it, so I'm not sure how that works either (how do I pay off the loan, etc.). If anyone can help or direct me to a helpful website, that would be great.

 

You might take a run by Carmax. They purchase cars for selling on their lots; their offer is good for seven days or 300 miles. They handle the payoff and all paperwork, so it's relatively painless. Might be worth your while to check it out.
