On a Mac, you'd import into iMovie, edit, then export to iDVD and burn. I'd imagine on Windows you'd do the same - doesn't Movie Maker import dv files? Did you import into MM or just copy the dv file onto your PC?

I'd start with MM and import the dv from wherever it is (computer, dv tape), and once its there, look for your export options.

Actually, I just read that walkthrough, and it looks like Microsoft doesn't have native DVD authoring - it recommends you buy MyDVD from Roxio ($50-80) - http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/mydvd/mydvd.html

But that article is a few years old, maybe someone knows a good free DVD authoring program for Windows. You may want to see if any free DVD authoring software came with your computer too.

if the computer came with a dvd burner, 99% chance it will have included some dvd authoring software. If not, buy a $50 dvd burner, install the software that comes with it, and then either keep the new drive or give it to a friend.
