Default Hurricane Rita

Hurricane Rita is now headed for Corpus Christi. In that area there are several oil refineries. If they go down expect gas prices to go up even higher than before. Hurricane should hit by Saturday the 24th, but will probably hit late Friday.

*Better fill up now....

not sure how this falls under s2000 talk...

i live in Houston and EVERYONE is filling up their car and whatever containers they have with gas so that isn't helping the situation either.

yup whether it hits Houston or Corpus expect prices to rise as they both are home to a lot of refineries. Here in San Antonio a lot of stations are already out of gas.

I'm about to go fill up the S, I filled my little truck up on the way home.

$2.69 (87)/$2.89(93) Currently

Can't wait to see how the up coming weeks bring. Maybe since they are aware of the storm maybe some preventive measures will be taken to lessen the down time.....but then again if everything gets destroyed there wouldn't be much use.

Prices here are out of control. I went to the station up on the corner and asked for five bucks worth of gas. The clerk farted and gave me a receipt!

This is out of control. To some extent it seem that every negative occurence in the world now causes gas to go up.

Remember 9/11? There were some gas stations giving out refunds not long after that. I hate oil companies with all I have got. Bastards....
