hypothetical situation - what would you do?
I don't care how anyone candy coats the situation... point is IT HAPPENED. If it was my car i'd feel exactly like you do mav (Except I probably would have
). Even if they just soley offered to either pay for the damages or talk to the car shop that would be good. At least you'd know they cared. But to ignore what happened and only give a sh*t about their car only.. now that's

There's a difference in feeling bad (about the accident) and being legally responsible. It would seem to me that it's the fault of the shop for the improper install and the guy in the lead car really doesn't bear any legal responsibility.
That said, if I were the guy in the first car, I would do my best to repair my friend's car. Not because I have some kind of legal obligation, but because it's the right thing to do.

Well, according to my cop friend and another friend whose an attorney, he is legally responsible. What happened can be viewed as an accident and if I wanted to be an asshole about it, its totally within my right to call the cops, file a police report, and file a claim against this person's insurance company.
Watch what you guys say about that "punk"... hes not only a member of these boards, but a friend to alot of us. And since you people only know of this person whats been said in this thread, i suggest you dont pass judgement.
Personally i dont think a "friend" should of thrown this out on the boards like this... A friend, wouldent of tried to Guilt-trip his friend into paying for this when he knows the situation the guys still in ...
Obviously the dammage is gonna look worse to the owner, cause its his baby, and i know what hes going through.
Tommy, i aint trying to get in the middle here, But id get on Dynamic's ass about this, If you can prove it was neglect on there part, i think its your best angle. I dont think a few nick's and cracks are worth bad blood within two people.

Ricky, I would be careful who you refer to as a "friend". Said person isn't my friend, your friend or anyone else's friend. He is a selfish individual, a liar and a backstabber.
What situation? Said person got his car fixed 100%, for free I might add, while I'm stuck with my screwed up car and eventually the body shop bill. I am not putting said person on a quilt trip, although he should feel quilty about this. I posted this as a way of venting. This is the only forum I frequent, its either this or going to said person's house and doing something that I will most likely regret later.
I talked to Dynamic Turbo. They weren't even aware about the damage to my car or my involvement, even though said person supposely told them and was supposely doing everything he could from that angle.
Next DT explained to me, that they were not sure what happened exactly, but they are not at fault. So whose at fault? Legally said person is responsible.
Theres other things that this person has said, such as denying this accident ever occurred and turning to turn this into my word verus his word, that makes him a two face SOB in my book.

Mav - right about now, this is what I'd do, (have your insurance pay for the time being...) so you don't have to look at the car in that condition. It sucks people can't be straight, but either he pays or he doesn't is what it's looking like. Just be patient, wait and see. He might come around... in the mean time your car is fixed.
