hypothetical situation - what would you do?
I cannot prove that Dynamic Turbo is at fault. Of course they are running a business to make money, and they will not admit fault, you are absolutely right about that. However in the eyes of many people and the law, said person is responsible. Are you a lawyer or a cop? No. I've spoken to a cop and a lawyer about this and yes he is legally responsible. Everyone in the club knows what happened that day, including you. Are you being the blindman and deny that parts from his car never hit mine? I even have photographic evidence.
I never barked up DT's tree. Since the start I knew they would not fix my car. I assumed that Warren will offer to fix it for me, so no biggie. Then he didn't offer, instead he claimed that he told DT what had happened and was "doing everything he could" to get the situation remedied. However when I called DT, I find out that he never even mentioned it to them at all. Basically I was lied to.
This isn't about the money. It will cost probably a thousand or two to repaint the damaged areas (not a couple of hundred unless I take it to Pepito's Body Shop in Overtown). A thousand or two is nothing to me. This is about principle, friendship and doing the right thing. If you pelted your friend's car with your parts, wouldn't you fix it? I know I would because its the damn right thing to do!!!!!!!! That is the focking damn point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is simple to resolve
forget that the person in front of you was a friend or what the situation was.
get his license plate number
go to your insurance and tell them that this person's car was in front of yours on the road. Something broke on his car and the parts came flying into your car.
your insurance company will pay for the damages and go after his insurance company for the money.
go to the shop that did the repair on the car and and get records that the they indeed repair the car and the nature of the repair.
The shop is not responsible for your damanges. but your "friend's" car insurance company is.
your ins rates will not go up because of this

Unfortunately, no lawyer is taking this case. And if you go to small claims, you're rolling the dice. Neither DT nor the other driver is going to admit fault.
I really feel bad about this whole situation. If any of you need me to mediate (i.e. broker the peace), let me know.
