I got an XBOX! :D
Nope only Amex Blue and I'm not sure if the one in Times Square has any I got my from the one in Long Island/Roosevelt Field. They still had some left on Christmas Eve. Also ask them for the coupon book that starts today. You can get an additional $25 off on top of the 30% valid only today.
Are the graphics really better on XBOX or is it just the game? For example, for PS2 there is a game called Onimusha (one of my favorites), it has pre-rendered backgrounds and the graphics kick ass, but the graphics on the newGrand Theft Auto did not turn my crank at all. I played Gotham at the local gamers booth and was unimpressed. What gives?
Here found this on a search of xbox and ps2 comparison
Specification Comparison between XBox and PS2
...Processor Speeds
=> Xbox has the faster main CPU processor - a 733 Mhz Intel chip - in addition to a 300Mhz graphics processor. Compare this to Sony's 300Mhz main CPU and 150 Mhz Graphics chip. Although it would 'appear' that the XBox is twice as fast, in computing terms, the speed alone isn't always absolute - other more complex factors play their part. The processor is the heart (engine) of the console.
...Memory
=> Xbox has 64Mb (rumours state that this might be upped to 128Mb), which is nearly double that of Sony's. More memory allows game programmers more scope when creating their games. Another memory factor to consider is that of bandwidth. Xbox has around 6 Gb/sec, whereas PS2 has only 3Gb/sec.
...Data Storage and Input/Output Devices
=> The XBox contains a 4 speed DVD drive, an 8 Mb memory card (for storing game data and other important information), in addition to a 8gb hard drive. PS2 only lacks a hard drive, although there are plans for an external hard-drive to be made available.
=> Sony opted to include, like their first console, 2 game ports; Microsoft chose to provide space for 4 ports. I'd say this is a wise decision. Anybody who has played a game like Mario Kart (on the Nintendo) can probably testify as to how much more enjoyment a 4-player game is, compared to a 2-player.
=> Both consoles also include USB slots, to allow simple addition of other external devices. Microsoft have also chosen to include Ethernet capabilities for network play - with broadband (DSL/Cable) support.
...Audio and Visual
=> The XBox includes 256 audio channels, six times as many as PS2, in addition to 3d positional audio support, providing gamers with a vastly rich and detailed sound environment.
=> A great aspect of the next-generation consoles is that of forward-thinking. Sony never jumped the gun like Dreamcast, by including a basic modem, but were looking at future potential of broadband connections, and thus laid foundations for exploring and developing effective high-speed gaming solutions.
In terms of Visuals, XBox has a maximum screen resolution of 1920x1080, and PS2 has its maximum range set at 1280x1024 pixels. Traditional TV has a current maximum of around half of the PS2's maximum, meaning that if you ever upgrade to a High Definition Television, Xbox games should take on another dimension - it's just a big pity that I, being based in the UK, will probably never see the introduction of HDTV for another decade, if indeed ever...

I got a PS2 the day they came out in the USA and have been playing the bejeezus out of GT3 ever since it came out. Well, last week when I was Christmas shopping I bought an Xbox on impulse. I bought the HD A/V pack with it and Halo. The biggest differences I've seen so far are the fact that the graphics are so much smoother on the Xbox since it will output a non-interlaced picture. The DD 5.1 surround doesn't hurt, either.
I did also get Metal Gear Solid II for the PS2 for Christmas and that games rocks too! Now it's hard to decide which one to play. I really don't think someone could be too disappointed with either the Xbox or PS2 if they got one or the other for Christmas because they both have great graphics, sound, etc. I do know that, at least right now, the game selection for PS2 blows the Xbox away but since it's been out for over a year it should.
As for playing Halo online, that's on my list of things to try this week. I need to download the Gamespy software and give it a try.
