In that article they say the Halo needs 256k UP!?!? per player?!? Do they mean down? That is an insane amount of bandwidth.

I can't agree with you bunch that say "the gamecube sucks".

I have Xbox (halo, proj goth, racing, DOA3)
and gamecube(rogue leader, waverace, super smash)
and I have to say that i've spent more hours with the nintendo and find that I want to play those games more (especially super smash bros).

The graphics may not be as impressive as xbox, but the games are so fun! I also can't relate with the "new generation of gamers" that feel nintendo games are too childish and need their 'mature games'. Mario, Zelda, etc etc may be childish but you cannot deny that they are fun, and that they are some of the best series of games ever released.

This is not to say that I don't like xbox, I think it's great.
Halo, on the other hand, would be so much better on a PC. I can't stand the slow bond-goldeneye-like control you get playing these types of games on a console system.

Different strokes for different folks I guess

I'm not sure what the deal is with that Halo upstream bandwidth requirement. We had 6 people playing all with cable modem and DSL (256-384 upstream) and didn't have problems
